From natural pond to biopool
Modern design meets farmhouse aesthetic
This project transforms the site of a former natural pond into a biopool designed for whole year-round swimming, seamlessly integrating modern design with the historic charm of an old farmhouse.
The pool, measuring 10 × 5 meters, aligns perfectly with the existing gazebo with its double-pitched roof, which remains the central architectural focal point of the garden.
Generous full-length steps span the width of the pool, providing both effortless access and comfortable in-water seating. Two elegant water features add subtle movement and the soothing sound of flowing water, enhancing the sense of tranquility throughout the garden.
Quality materials
Every material has been carefully chosen to combine modern elegance and rustic charm. A spacious IPE wood deck provides an ideal place to relax by the water, its warm tones complementing the garden's natural palette.

Due to the proximity of a main road, dense screening plantings of evergreen shrubs and ornamental grasses ensure privacy while softening the boundaries and enhancing the natural atmosphere. Around the pool, ornamental grasses such as Stipa tenuissima and Miscanthus provide movement and seasonal variation, while carefully placed flowering plants add splashes of colour.
