A mediterranean escape

A radiant, Mediterranean-inspired hideaway

This two-phase project transformed a family residence into a radiant, Mediterranean-inspired retreat. Designed for a family of three, the design honours natural textures, muted ocre tones and the sensory richness of outdoor living, from the aromatic garden at the front to the intimate oasis at the back.

The front garden welcomes visitors with the sunny warmth of sandstone walls and steps, whose golden hues echo the soft luminosity of southern landscapes. Paths of beige stone polygonal slabs meander gracefully through lush, drought-resistant plants.

Summer feeling all year round

The rear garden adopts a more personal rhythm, a space devoted to growth, harvest and rest. Three raised Douglas fir beds form the heart of this intimate zone, providing both a functional and aesthetic anchor for seasonal cultivation. The warm timber tones complement the surrounding greenery, combining utility and beauty.

Leading off from the bespoke garden shed, a pergola covered in climbing roses defines a shaded retreat, a peaceful spot where the family can share meals, have quiet chats or simply enjoy the calm of the landscape.
